I’m Jacob Sharpe

Growing up I was definitely more athletic than artsy. I spent most of my free time bouncing off walls causing my poor mother constant headaches. It wasn't until I got to college and took a photo-journalism class for an "easy A" that I realized how much I enjoyed creating- especially with a camera. Fast forward over 10 years later and I've shot abandoned buildings, kangaroos, weddings, pets, you name it I've pretty much got a photo of it.

I got married in 2024 to my beautiful wife Stacie (who you may be lucky enough to meet as I drag her as a second shooter to a bunch of my wedding days), and being on the other side of it shifted everything for me. You realize pretty quickly it’s not about perfect timing or everything going exactly to plan. It’s about how the day actually feels.

My vendor team for our wedding was absolutely incredible. They made me want to pursue this passion full time to bring the same level of calming, humor, and intuitiveness that made my day so special to as many couples as I could. My goal on your wedding day is to be as unobtrusive as possible. You've spent countless weekends scouring New England for the perfect place to have your wedding, so let's take the photos there! You're spent hours selecting the finer details of your wedding from the table ornaments to the bouquet, so I make sure I cover all of those as well.

I grew up around women, so I learned early how to pay attention, read the moment, and stay out of the way when needed. Honestly, that might be half the battle. My job on your day is to be a calming and light hearted presence allowing everyone to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible, capture some of the biggest moments of your life, and let you have a damn good time while I do it.

Don't make baby Jacob sad.
