Wedding photography that doesn't feel like a photoshoot

Wedding photography

A quick disclaimer...

I’m not here to:

-Turn your wedding into an 8-hour photoshoot

-Over-pose you into something that doesn’t feel like you

-Or make you wonder where half your day went

There are plenty of photographers who do that really well.

I’m just not one of them.

Jacob and his team accommodated our special requests and did a phenomenal job with capturing the special candid moments with those closest to us. They were part of the party and allowed the festivities to flow. The pictures are so beautiful! We highly recommend Jacob!

Meet the man behind the lens

Thanks so much for stopping by!

You're going to hear lots of stories from photographers about how they've been "carrying a camera since they learned to walk" and how they "knew wedding photography was their calling from the time they were a kid".

Truth is, none of that applies to me.

Growing up I was definitely more athletic than artsy. I spent most of my free time bouncing off walls causing my poor mother constant headaches. It wasn't until I got to college and took a photo-journalism class for an "easy A" that I realized...

I document what’s already happening.

I’ll step in when it helps—adjust something small, give direction if needed—but most of the time I’m paying attention so you can stay present.

Think of me as an extension of your bridal party.

This is probably a good fit if you…

  • Don't want to spend 8 hours posing
  • Care more about real moments than "perfect" ones (don't worry I'll still capture the perfect ones too)
  • Want your photos to feel effortless and true to you
  • Don't mind a few terrible dad jokes
  • Just want to actually enjoy your wedding day

"Jacob made our wedding day one to remember. He went above and beyond to capture the perfect moments!  He exceeded all of our expectations! I would highly recommend working with Jacob!"

It's your wedding day, do whatever you want...

Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life, the last thing you want is someone making you uncomfortable all day while they hide in the bushes or in the corner of the room taking photos.

If you want to throw someone in the air, do the worm, make memories and actually have FUN during your photo session then look no further.

Simple 3-Step Process

1: You reach out

2: We connect

3: You enjoy your wedding

At the end of it all just remember two things...

  1. I want you to look back at these photos in 40 years and still feel what you felt in those special moments.
  2. Jake "Rules" (I know, I didn't have enough fingers to spell it right)
